Caux Report 2012

The 2012 programme consisted of a series of conferences and workshops, on multiculturalism, human security, ethics, global and personal change, each covered in this report.

Sixty farmers from Southern Ukraine met from March 5th to 9th in Krynychky, 100 kms from Dnepropetrovsk, to address factors that limit agricultural production in their country.

The first public screening of the French language version of the Imam & the Pastor in Ottawa took place at Saint Paul University on Friday, January 23. The event was a collaboration between the Conflict Studies program of the university and Initiatives of Change.

The panel consisted of Philothée Kigeme from Burundi, a student in Conflict Studies, Oscar Gasana, a federal civil servant, graduate from the Masters in conflict studies program, former President of the Rwandan community association, and Abdourahman Kahin, psychologist, originally from Djibouti, who represented Muslim Presence.

At the recent food conference in Bologna, Claude Bourdin from France spoke about the work of IofC's Farmers' Dialogue in bringing perspectives from the world's largest industry to the task of feeding the world.

Genetic engineering, fair trade, pesticides and health, the environment and world hunger: behind our plate of food is a hidden world to think about. From 9–12 October, farmers, consumers and scientists from 11 European countries did just that, meeting in the Italian city of Castel San Pietro, near Bologna.

On the theme of "Addressing the Root Causes of Human Insecurity", the International Caux conferences 2008 ran from 3rd July to 17 August 2008.

Over 400 people from 24 African nations and many other parts of the world took part in the annual conference in Caux, Switzerland

Initiativen der Veränderung (Initiatives of Change/ IofC) ist eine internationale Bewegung von Menschen unterschiedlicher Herkunft und Kultur, die sich für eine Veränderung der Gesellschaft einsetzen. Diese Veränderung beginnt bei jedem Einzelnen und basiert auf der Veränderung von Beweggründen und persönlichen Verhaltensweisen.

Wir setzen uns dafür ein, Menschen zu inspirieren, auszurüsten und miteinander in Kontakt zu bringen, um die Bedürfnisse dieser Welt in den Bereichen Vertrauensbildung, einer ethischen Führungskultur und einem zukunftsfähigen Lebensstil anzugehen. Dabei fängt Veränderung bei jedem Einzelnen an.
