Hello!  My name is Fabiola Benavente; everyone calls me Fabi. I am head of the Support section of the website, and this is our page. So thank you for pressing our button and welcome to our page!

We may have met already because I have been part of IofC since my early twenties! If we haven't, then I hope we will soon. In 2010 I joined the International Council and was offered the Fundraising brief -- the one no one else wanted! However, something was telling me to go for it ... so here I am, and I can tell you it isn't what I was expecting. For example, there are so many ways you can help.

The first and most important thing is to know what it is that you have chosen to support -- so you can tell others and help build our movement. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you read the first interview with our International Association President, Omnia Marzouk. Also helpful is the Framework for Common Action, produced by IofC worldwide through consultations in 2012. For me, the last line in our Vision is amazing, to think that every one of us has a unique role to play in making a better world.

Well, my unique role here is 'Support,' so I must tell you what we have to offer.

First and most obviously (and probably why you clicked on our page) comes financial support. There are various ways you can do this, by Committed Giving with a sum that you can afford -- one small way we can start with ourselves, by contributing to the life blood of our movement, both globally and nationally. Of course, you can make a single gift, if you wish.

And please don't forget our feedback page, Your Space. I've told you which IofC message resonates most with me. What does the same for you? We need your help to get our messaging right to attract new people. Also as we learn how to fundraise in our own way, we need your comments -- positive or not -- to guide us.

Next, you will already know how important stories are to IofC -- stories about the 'mysterious thread' that connected us one to another and to extra-ordinary outcomes; stories about the bridges that crossed seemingly impossible divides. Others will learn from your stories

Of course, IofC depends almost entirely on volunteers -- Let us connect you.

Last, but in no way least, please keep our efforts to make IofC sustainable in your thoughts and prayers. Omnia writes, "Planning can be the vehicle through which God enhances our efforts if they are inspired. Planning and prayer go hand in hand."

Here are those opportunities to support IofC once again:

  •  Committed Giving towards running IofC International, with the option to include your National Team.
  • Your Space to tell us what you think about things we need to know.
  • Share your stories with us and others who will benefit.
  • For links to volunteering opportunities start here.
  • Tell a Friend

Save this page in case you get lost or need help, or email us at fundraising@iofc.org

Remember, at the other end of all these automated links dwells a small, friendly support team -- Tami, Barbara, Nathalie and me -- and we are eager to help you help us!

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

IofC in Kürze
