On 4 March the new Argentine Initiatives of Change Association was formally inaugurated.

On 4 March in the magnificent Salon San Martín of Buenos Aires City Hall, the new Argentine Initiatives of Change Association was formally inaugurated in the presence of Dr Oscar Moscariello, President of the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) in the City Council. The PDP is the largest party in the coalition presently running the City.

In his address, which concluded the event, Dr Moscariello said:
‘It is important in today’s world to promote the creation of civil organizations aimed at encouraging and protecting universal values. In this context, I consider it necessary to draw attention to the action of Initiatives of Change, a world network of people from different races, nations, religions and origins, committed to transforming society through personal change.’

‘We recognize the effort involved in laying the foundations of this type of organization. Determination, commitment, enterprise, steadfastness and involvement are among the basic requirements to carry out objectives on this scale. Initiatives of Change calls for interaction and introspection; it calls for plurality and tolerance, with change as a starting point – change beginning with oneself.’

‘As the organization itself admits, it is thanks to its position – more pragmatic than philosophical – that it offers a place for individuals of different political persuasions to meet without compromise to their convictions, and to form a social network whose aim is to think globally about problems and solutions.’

‘The concept of working together and personal change, both proposed by the organization, are indispensable tools to start transforming our society, by fighting corruption, dishonesty and inequality.’
