INITIATIVES OF CHANGE
Initiatives of Change (IofC) is a world-wide network of people of diverse races, nations, creeds and backgrounds who are committed to transformation in society based on change in individuals, starting with themselves. Its aims, as spelled out in the preamble to the Articles of Association of Initiatives of Change International include:

  • Bringing reconciliation and healing where there is conflict;

  • Tackling the root causes of corruption, poverty and social exclusion;

  • Strengthening the moral and spiritual foundations of democracy.

  • IofC's emphasis is on individuals taking personal responsibility for change, recognizing that everyone – even the seemingly weak or powerless – has a part to play. Its methods focus on the interaction of people, whether few or many, in homes, small or large groups, personal encounters, training courses, and local or international conferences. For over 70 years IofC has brought people of diverse backgrounds and faiths together providing a rallying point for individuals and teams to work for justice, healing and human development,.

    Most activities and programmes are initiated by local and national teams. Initiatives of Change International seeks to support such initiatives whenever possible by providing contacts, international visibility, operational frameworks, funding advice and the like.
