Imam and Pastor Film in Wellington, New Zealand

The Imam and the Pastor was screened in the Tawa Community Centre, near Wellington, New Zealand on 2 February.
The occasion was hosted by local Christian and Muslim friends. It was attended by people, now living in New Zealand, but originally from Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Sri Lanka and Myanma as well as Maaori and Pakeha.
The showing was followed by small group sharing of responses to the film. Food was brought and shared after which a final gathering of everyone allowed time for individuals to express what it had meant to them to meet people of other faiths and cultures in the community.
New initiatives are developing from this occasion.
