Tools for Change 08

What does it take to build trust across divides of culture, ethnicity and politics? Do our lives demonstrate the kind of change that we want to see in the world? What tools do we need as trustbuilders and peacebuilders?

Tools for Change offers six days of personal development and skills-building for people of all sectors of society, from 25 July to 1 August, 2008. Participants have an opportunity to examine the core values of Initiatives of Change and their relevance to those working for an inclusive, just and peaceful society. An international faculty will address theory and practice around creating and sustaining positive change. Every activity, including service in the house, contributes to the development of participants in a unified, interactive learning experience.

The cultural diversity of the conference allows a free exchange of ideas on different approaches to problem solving. The programme equips and empowers participants for the work they will undertake when they leave Caux and sets them on a path of further discovery.

This programme is open to all ages and welcomes a diverse learning community. It is targeted specifically at those who want to discover how to be effective change agents and for those seeking to enhance their skills or share experiences with others in the field. Tools for Change develops and strengthens the inner resources and the practical skills needed to become effective peacemakers and trustbuilders.
