For people who want to invest time in concrete change projects

How often do we hear that world poverty, war, corruption or gross degradation of the natural environment are scandals that should be stopped? And what are ‘they’ doing about it? This attitude, we can see, does not bring about change or hope. True, the isolated individual can do little. But who says he or she should remain isolated?

This session is a time for skill-building, reflection and discernment for people who want to invest time in concrete change projects around the world.

In these days, participants from many different countries will have the opportunity to reflect on their own lives and their life priorities and to develop a greater awareness of how to tackle important issues in the world where action is needed. The worldwide activities of Initiatives of Change and other organizations will be presented and discussed. This session will be hosted by young professionals and students. It will be twinned with the conference Learning to Live in a Multicultural World; some of their activities will be in common.
