Global Consultations take place every two years. They are made up of about 30 representatives proposed by national IofC chapters from around the world, with a final selection made by the Consutation steering committee to ensure a balance of gender, age-range and cultures.
The consultations exist to bring cohesion to a diverse network and to formulate shared strategic points of focus for Initiatives of Change. One of their important responsibilities is to select representatives of the Interrnational Council of Initiatives of Change.
The agenda of each Global Consultation is set by the International Council, in consultation with national chapters. The work of preparing the consultation is then delegated to a steering committee answerable to the International Council.
Global Consultations have been held since 1989.
