Courses and Follow-up Co-ordinator

Foundations for Freedom (F4F) is an initiative of the UK charity “Initiatives of Change” that started in 1993 after the collapse of communism in Eastern and Central Europe.

F4F is a network of communities and people who share the same values and care about spiritual growth and development at individual, regional and international levels. It aims to serve as a worldwide resource for both individuals and organizations searching for inner freedom, openness and purpose in life.

The successful applicant will be employed full time and will be expected to live and work in Kiev based at the F4F apartment in order to create a strong core team. F4F will cover rent costs. A person will be receiving monthly living stipend from F4F. The position involves a long-term commitment to people, their development and the growth of F4F (one year contract with the review on the annual basis).

We are searching for the person, who:
- Loves people and gets along with them easily
- Enjoys and is ready to dedicate much time for outreach work
- Has team-building and team-work skills (and readiness to develop and lead follow-up team)
- Has an experience in training/management and/or degree in Psychology is an asset

Skills required
- Good communication skill:
    *Listening
    *Articulate
    *Languages – Russian, English
    *Ability to write fluently with good use of language and grammar
- Good organisational skills
- Computer skills (Word, Internet, PP)

 Duties
- Be a member of the Management Group (which reports to the Committee and is responsible for the day to day management of F4F), help to create general F4F strategy.
- Courses management of F4F:
     * Receive all the enquiries about F4F courses;
     * Inform Management Group (MG) of the enquiries;
     * Support a local host in organising a course.
     *Evaluate and report.
- Develop and coordinate Follow-up team
- Work closely with regional groups
- Keep improving Follow-up strategy:
     * Reviewing existing practices;
     * Discuss strategy with F4F personnel;
     * Archive material.
- Financial management, keeping accounts for funds spent on Follow-up activity and reporting to F4F Treasurer.

Due to the nature of F4F work and the emerging structure of the organisation, the person is expected to work on clarifying their job descriptions. Therefore, we expect this person to be a self-starter and be able to work in dynamic environment.

Stipend: GBP 300 per month + F4F flat rent covered

Fund Raiser/Project Developer

Foundations for Freedom invites applications for the position of Fund Raiser/Project Developer.

F4F is a network of communities and people who share the same values and care about spiritual growth and development at individual, regional and international levels. It aims to serve as a worldwide resource for both individuals and organizations searching for inner freedom, openness and purpose in life.

The job is full time and the successful applicant will be expected to live and work in Kiev in order to be part of the core team.

F4F is in the process of registering as an independent international NGO in Ukraine. The NGO's fundraising strategy is to seek people or organisations who wish to tackle problems within their society and to work with them to create projects that will attract funding from outside agencies. The Fund Raiser is vital to this strategy and much of F4F's future will depend on his/her abilities and success.

The Fund Raiser's job description/responsibilities will be as follows:

  1. To raise funds for F4F's activities and the operation of the NGO's administration.

  2. To promote F4F and 'network' with other NGOs, funding bodies and outside agencies to ensure that they know of F4F, its aims and activities.

  3. To ensure that he/she is constantly aware of sources of funds and grant giving bodies, their requirements and special areas of interest and maintain a database of such organisations.

  4. To work with F4F Management Group, Committee and partner organisations to create/develop projects that are suitable for funding.

  5. To write and submit funding applications.

  6. To follow up rejected applications to discover the reason for rejection and to ensure that any future applications benefit from this feed back.

  7. To seek third party review of funding applications in order to ensure that applications are written to the highest possible standard.

Job requirements

Applicants should be/have:

  • Articulate with good communication skills and the ability to give presentations about F4F to potential funders.

  • The ability to work with others to create and organise projects as well as project budgets.

  • Languages - English and Russian

  • The ability to write fluently with good use of language and grammar

  • Good organisational skills

  • Computer skills – spread sheets, documents, presentation material.
