IofC/Moral Re-Armament build teamwork in Zimbabwe with a national youth conference

Initiatives of Change (IofC)/Moral Re-Armament (MRA) Zimbabwe recently held its first national youth conference in Gweru on 1-5 February with the aim to mobilize and empower young people, and ‘move from a group to a team’. Young people came together to learn more deeply about Initiatives of Change, to build their skills, and to strengthen friendships with the intention of working together for a just, peaceful and sustainable Zimbabwe. The conference was created and delivered by youth for youth.

Arab forum in Cairo

The Egyptian Moral Re-Armament (IofC) Cultural Committee organized an Arab Moral Re-Armament youth event, 'A Better Me for a Better World' that took place 12 to 18 April in Cairo. The objective of the meeting was to build new cultural bridges and collaborate together to produce sustainable and lasting relationships. Delegates from Lebanon and Tunisia met with 50 Egyptians of all ages, all of whom were concerned with the role youth play in changing the future for the better by changing oneself first.

The Malaga Charter to promote sustainable development and social justice, which Initiatives of Change helped to draft, was launched at the New Economy and Social Innovation (NESI) Forum in Malaga, Spain, on 20 April. Initiatives of Change's TIGE programme (Trust and Integrity in the Global Economy) was one of the partners in launching the charter at the four-day event.
