Pastor James Wuye and Imam Muhammad Ashafa to feature in Oprah Winfrey's groundbreaking TV series 'Belief'

'Seven billion people, searching for connection, redemption, meaning. Oprah Winfrey presents the seven-night event, "Belief," a groundbreaking television event exploring humankind's ongoing search to connect with something greater than ourselves.

Journeying to the far reaches of the world, and to places cameras have rarely been, “Belief” searches the origins of diverse faiths and the heart of what really matters. From the epic to the intimate, webbed throughout each hour are stories of people on spiritual journeys....'

The second episode of 'Belief', to be aired by OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) on 19 October, features a segment on Imam Muhammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye. Entitled, 'Love's story', it takes the viewer on 'a journey around the world in search of what it means to love one another'. The episode ends with the story of 'two leaders in Nigeria who... come together to reconcile and to honor one of the most sacred teachings at the heart of both their faiths: love your enemies'.

Alan Channer served as a consultant with the crew that filmed the segment. The director of the crew wrote a touching message at the time: 'It was an unforgettable trip. I hope we were able to capture something essential about these two extraordinary men. Thanks again for your spot-on advice. Whatever success we have would have been impossible without your guidance.'
